"As
the buffalo shaman sets out on a short venture across his land, he
becomes hardened as he finds a rumbling cloud building over the gorge.
Then he sees the reason. A lone skeleton of a buffalo lays before him,
the single bullet hole in its skull tells him right away this animal was
killed for fun and not out of need. He watches the spirits become
enraged at the unnecessary loss. The shaman decides not to calm the
spirits but allow them to release their frustrations on the land.
Thunderous booms and the sound of rain like that of a thousand charging
buffalo take the ground and soon will return the remains to the earth so
it may be born again."
